Our 44th Season

During our Fall through Spring season, South Windsor Cultural Arts delights audiences with the sights and sounds of free classical chamber music concerts, performed by soloists and ensembles comprised of talented musicians from the Americas, Europe, and Asia. SWCA’s recently purchased new Yamaha model S7X Grand Piano has brought added beauty and excitement to our concert series.

Please plan on joining us for a memorable Sunday afternoon of music. You are encouraged to stay after the concert for a reception where you can speak with the musicians, catch up with old friends, and meet new ones.

2026-2027 Season

Cellist Leland Philip Ko, an American artist of Chinese-Canadian descent, is the Third Prize winner of the 2026 Queen Elisabeth Competition, recipient of a 2026 Avery Fisher Career Grant, and First Prize winner of the 2024 Walter W. Naumburg International Cello Competition. Dubbed "the storyteller" and "a daring prince" during the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Leland has been praised by RTBF as "one of those artists who defy analysis, because words simply cannot describe the powerful emotions they evoke."

Upcoming Concerts

Giving performances that are “lithe, persuasive” (The New York Times), “eloquent and enthralling” (The Boston Globe), and described as “the most compelling American group to come on the scene” (The New Yorker), the Horszowski Trio has quickly become a vital force in the international chamber music world since their formation in 2011. In 2019, the Horszowski Trio made its London debut in a sold-out concert presented by Wigmore Hall. Their success led to a 21-concert-tour in Germany in 2022, acclaimed by major critics: "This ensemble can play anything."; "With all the intensity of the expression that the three musicians achieve, they play in a finely tuned manner, span gripping musical arcs, work out surprising details, amaze with their interpretive imagination and stylistically confident sensitivity.”

Dr. Anastasia Dedik is an inter-nationally acclaimed pianist, known for her versatility in solo, chamber, and vocal repertoire. Praised for her “flawless and memorable” performances (New York Concert Artist Review), she has appeared at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Great Philharmonic Hall in St. Petersburg. She has collaborated with renowned orchestras like the Fort Worth Symphony and Saint Petersburg Philharmonic. A winner of numerous international competitions, Anastasia’s accolades include top prizes at the Bösendorfer and Yamaha USASU International Piano Competition. Her recent recording of Theodore Akimenko’s works was released on Toccata Classics.

Sunday, February 7, 2027 Nathan Meltzer, violin

Recipient of a 2026 Avery Fisher Career Grant, winner of the 2023 Concert Artist Guild Competition, and major prize winner at the 2022 Sibelius and Singapore International Violin Competitions, violinist Nathan Meltzer is establishing a holistic and multi-faceted career as both a soloist and chamber musician, with passions for both standard and contemporary repertoire. A Juilliard graduate and student of Li Lin and Itzhak Perlman, Nathan plays on a 1682 Andrea Guarneri violin. There are rare, perfect moments in chamber music where minds meld and hearts coalesce in beautiful synergy.
